This policy explains what we collect when you visit this site or support the channel, why we collect it, and what control you have. We keep this short and specific on purpose.
Who we are
Support Daily Prayer is an independent, viewer-supported Christian video channel. It is not a registered charity. Questions about this policy or your data: [hello@supportdailyprayer.com].
What we collect
If you just browse
Nothing that identifies you by name. We do not use advertising trackers, and we never sell or share your information with advertisers. Our hosting provider keeps standard server logs (IP address, browser type, pages requested) for security and reliability.
Website analytics
We use PostHog to understand how this site is used — which pages people visit, how long they stay, how far they scroll, and where they leave. This tells us which parts of the site are confusing so we can fix them. PostHog sets a cookie to recognise a returning browser, and it records a replay of the page as you use it (mouse movement, clicks, scrolling).
What is never captured: anything you type is masked before it leaves your browser, and your card number, email, phone, and billing address are entered on Stripe's own website, which we do not record at all.
This data is pseudonymous — a random browser identifier, not your name. To opt out, turn on Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control in your browser, use any tracker-blocking extension, or email us and we will delete the records associated with you.
If you support the channel
Payments are processed by Stripe. During checkout Stripe collects:
- Your full name, email address, and phone number
- Your billing address
- Your payment details — card numbers go directly to Stripe. We never see, receive, or store them.
We can see your name, email, phone, billing address, and payment history in our Stripe dashboard, and we use them to deliver receipts, provide support, keep required financial records, and prevent fraud.
Information you choose to publish
Before checkout you may enter a display name and a short message. If you do, they are shown publicly on our homepage in “Recent supporters,” alongside the amount and approximate time of your contribution. This is optional: leave the name blank or tick “Show me as Anonymous” and your name will not be displayed. Do not put anything private in these fields. To have an entry removed, email us and we will take it down.
How we use your information
- To process payments and send receipts
- To manage and cancel recurring support
- To respond when you contact us
- To display your chosen name and message, if you provided them
- To meet tax, accounting, and legal obligations
We do not sell or rent your personal information, and we do not share it with advertisers.
Newsletter and marketing email
We only send daily prayer emails, updates, or other marketing if you asked for them — by ticking the box at checkout or by subscribing on our thank-you page. If you subscribe, we store your email address and the fact that you consented, and we use it only to send you those emails. Every one of them carries a one-click unsubscribe link, and we remove you immediately when you use it.
Transactional messages — payment receipts and notices about your recurring support — are sent regardless of your newsletter choice, because they relate directly to your payment.
Who we share it with

- Our website host and email provider, if you subscribed to the newsletter
- Professional advisers or authorities where the law requires it
How long we keep it
Payment and tax records are kept as long as the law requires (generally seven years in the US). Public names and messages remain on the site until you ask us to remove them. Marketing contacts are removed when you unsubscribe.
Your choices and rights
You can ask us to access, correct, or delete your personal information, unsubscribe from email at any time, or have your public name and message taken down. Depending on where you live — for example California, other US states with privacy laws, the UK, or the EU — you may have additional rights, including the right to opt out of the “sale” or “sharing” of personal information. We do not sell or share personal information in that sense. To exercise any right, email us; we will respond within the period the applicable law allows.
Cancelling monthly support does not require emailing us — every receipt contains a self-service link, and it takes one click.
Security
This site is served over encrypted HTTPS connections, and payments run through Stripe, a PCI-DSS Level 1 certified provider. No system is perfectly secure, but we never handle your card data ourselves.
Children
This site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has provided us information, email us and we will delete it.
Changes
If we change this policy we will update the date above and post the new version here.
